An 85-room Candlewood Suites hotel is under construction in Springettsbury Township, east of LCBC Church and near the intersection of Route 30 and North Hills Road.
The hotel will be the first Candlewood Suites in York County and is expected to open in December or January, said Niraj Parekh, who owns it with business partner Hemal Shah. The cost is more than $8 million, Parekh said.
The hotel will have an indoor pool and fitness center. Each room will have a kitchenette, with a stove, refrigerator and microwave oven. The hotel will employ between 15 and 20 people, Parekh said.
The Candlewood Suites is part of a York County hotel boom.
